The name AlejRose originated from living in Guatemala, where I was affectionately called Alej - short for Alejandra. I started making custom embossed cards in January 2019 as a hobby taught to me by my aunt (thanks, TÃa!). It quickly turned into a way to connect with loved ones by both sending them cards I'd written and then mailing them their own set of blank embossed cards. After many messages of encouragement, custom packs, and trips to the post office, I started my Etsy page.
I am heavily influenced by my Lithuanian roots, Maine, nature and the supernatural. I believe nature is magic and holds everything we need as well as way more than we want.
I’ve bounced back & forth between Maine & Mass for years, always creating along the way. I love working with my hands & mixing styles. Right now I’m into bohemian wall art, macrame decor & plant hangers. My projects change as frequently as my mind, so check my page to stay updated on recent work!

Rebecca DeSimone is an abstract artist who works with a variety of mediums to create pieces that evoke a sense of movement and fluidity. Her work is a reflection of the idea that embracing uncertainty and constant change is a cornerstone of being able to live life to its fullest. Her art is a way of observing and expressing the internal mechanisms of the inner psyche.
I have been published in DownEast Magazine, The Maine Magazine, Maine The Way Quarterly, National Fisherman Magazine, and am routinely included in Portland's annual visitor's guide. It is a true honor to represent the beauty of Maine and greater New England through my work, and cannot wait to share it with you!
Heartful Designs started as an outlet during the pandemic. I found the need to create and married that with my love of nature. I have lived in different places but was drawn to Maine 15 years ago. The availability of mountains, lakes and ocean in any direction just fills my soul. Creating my works lets me mix natural materials to create detailed pictures. I now see sea glass, shells and rocks in a very different way.
The moment I first shared my paintings with a close friend, she said something like, "It's like ahhhh," as her hands waving all around as if to say "it's busy Angie", as we laughed. "Yeah" I said, "isn't it great?" and we laughed some more. I had finally arrived and given myself permission to become what was in my heart. Each and every piece of art that I create teaches me something, I like to think of it as an exploration.
Born in London, I grew up in the USA and spent my summers traveling from Scotland to Poland. Throughout the differential swirl of languages and multicultural nuances that inundated my childhood, I find my subject matters ebb and flow, focus and blur in the same manner with multifaceted layers, much like people. I like to center on micro perspectives with a focus on blurring boundaries, sweeping side angles, and using high chromatic techniques.
In 2019 Kira moved to Maine in the pursuit of fresh surroundings. Here she has discovered a treasure trove of inspiration, from the isolated seascapes, to the New England architecture, to her backyard garden. She enjoys finding wonder in the everyday, painting mostly for herself and her friends in an attempt to capture the small beauties of the ordinary.

Trained in printmaking and painting at the University of Maine, Orono, Elise has been working with copper etching and monotype techniques to create layered, dynamic, texture-based imagery fused with classic icons to open a dialog on mental health, interpersonal relationships and societal expectations.
We’re Gabby and Sam, two sisters from Maine. We have both spent a majority of the past few years traveling the world (to our parents’ slight dismay) and something that always came up for us was the amount of natural products the rest of the world uses. Everything has a purpose. This started out as a way to make natural products for ourselves and our loved ones, and it turned into Statera.
The original works of art I create evoke happiness through splashes of bright colors and unique textured backgrounds. The process of making art is a joyful experience for me. With an open minded approach I layer color with playful brushstrokes using many art tools. Just as in life, we must often embrace change, I welcome the transformation from one layer to the next. My subject choices are inspired by the beauty I see in light, forms, colors and shapes in nature.

Christy has used art as an emotional outlet and coping mechanism to help her find her voice when she couldn’t find the right words. After over ten years as a commercial graphic designer and feeling burnt out, Christy rekindled her passion for art and illustration and merged it with her love (and obsession) for pin collecting. From this came EVOL-EYE co. featuring designs inspired by love, loss, and hope for better days.

I started painting rocks about 1-2 years ago for something to do when I was bored. Now it’s kind of a therapy for me, a calming type of thing. Recently I decided to start selling my rocks because so many people were interested in them. Painting rocks takes a lot of patience and I enjoy doing all the spacing with the dots because I’m kind of a perfectionist. It makes me happy when I know people have my art in their homes which also makes them happy.
Tides and Dyes is inspired by my personal experiences and love of the local beaches of Maine where I have grown up. The beach has such a calming effect which allows me to reflect on some of my happiest memories. Tie dye has always been a fun outlet for me and has been something I have been doing since I was really little. My love for the beach and tie dye inspired me to come up with the creation of Tides and Dyes which I am happy to share with all of you!
My work is always a collaboration with my camera - I move and change the actual landscape into a representation of the ephemeral reality. These are all reworked using watercolor techniques.
"Born and raised in Maine, I graduated from Thornton Academy in 2012 and studied Art with a Business concentration at SMCC. Growing up I always had pencil and notebook in hand, ready to draw or paint whenever inspired. Now my mediums range from watercolor, drawing, photography, jewelry making, macrame, and flower preservation. Living in such a beautiful state with all four seasons has always been my biggest inspiration; I feel so fortunate to be able to experience it."
